A nice hotel. Don't understand what the other reviewers were complaining about. The rooms are nice and have a small balcony. Not a huge room, but as good as they come in Athens. Breakfast was simple, but decent. The room has AC, a must in the summer. Location is nice, as close to a place called Bread Factory. Best desserts there. A decent place to stay. One can take the bus to the main square. We walked in the evening and took the bus when it was hot.

The Grand Ambassador Santorini Hotel had the best views on the island! The staff even upgraded our room at no cost due to some maintenance issues with our original room. My Wife and I received world class customer service from the staff! We will definitely be visiting Santorini, Greece again in the future! When I arrived to my room the safe wasn’t working. Even though I reported it, I was told an engineer was coming the following day by Alex. No one turned up After waiting around all day and wasn’t even booked in when I spoke to the manager. Only when I escalated it to Hotels.com did the manager change the batteries and tell my husband how to override the safe as a button was missing. The breakfast is not as shown on the pictures and these need updating, There is an even a charge for cereal, you get the same thing everyday, bought out to you, no choice of what you wait, it was wasteful. Other guests have also reported safe issues. Shame as it’s a lovely location and I had recommended it to a few people but since this escalated they too have been put off. It’s a shame that the hotel couldn’t admit their mistake and resolve the matter professionally. There are lots of beautiful places nearby, and ones that give you the basics like cereal for free with breakfast and a working safe without all the hassle I had to endure on my holiday.
