Large China Town Apartment

Lovely big apartment with kitchen, seperate bedroom and sitting area. Very comfortable and spacious. A few pointers worth noting. 1. I was in Flat 4, top of the building and no elevator, not ideal if you have many/heavy cases. 2. Bedroom was noisy at night, there was a heating vent on the outer wall which roared when it was cold outside. 3. Heating varied between rooms, bedroom got too hot, so had to open the window 4. Management organised heating engineers to come at 11am one day during my stay, I came home to find 2 guys in my flat. They should wait till the flat is empty before booking such maintainance.

Beautiful……but very noisy.

The apartment is in a great location, very clean and modern and looks almost brand new. Great facilities, washer, dishwasher, microwave, all good quality items and plenty of space. BUT unless you are anything but a very heavy sleeper, you may be disappointed. The back window in the bedroom looks out onto a small roof with a number of A/C units and vents which are incredibly noisy, and the secondary double glazing unit simply cannot cope. We stayed for two nights but could not sleep in the bed because of the noise. Both nights we slept in the living room on a bed settee, which in a fairly expensive luxury apartment is unacceptable. We were in flat number one on the first floor, chosen because there are four floors and (please note) NO lifts. As we checked out this morning the occupier on floor three said exactly the same…..the noise is horrendous and prevented him sleeping. I did of course contact the management and they advised me to keep the windows closed. When I explained that we had kept them permanently closed, they said that Chinatown is a busy and therefore noisy area and that no complaints had been received prior to ours. Looking at the oven, the microwave, the washer etc, they look completely new and unused and the overall condition of the flat indicates to me that there haven’t been any previous tenants. I don’t know this for sure but it all looks brand new. As I say, the location and the apartment are both amazing, but be aware and do take earplugs.

perfect locaton in Chinatown, very close to tube stations and easy to reach. If you have problems climbing stairs then ask to get one of the lower floor aprtments. Apartment is big and cosy, will for sure come back. Only one thing was an issue for me: the AC did not work, no matter what I tried on the control panel, so the top floor apartment had 30 degrees and it was therefore incredibly hot in the whole apartment. As I was only there to sleep for a couple of hours it did not matter that much to me in the end.
