“The USP of this property is the amazing view down to Lago di Lugano across into Switzerland. There is also the interesting story about the old funicular railway to the rear of the hotel which closed in 1977 but may be refurbished and reinstated if funds can be secured.
It is a rural location, about 20 mins walk from the nearby town of Lanzo d'Intelvi and the bus service from Como drops you about 400m from the hotel reception if you aren't driving.

Accommodation in Morcote is hard to find but well worth the effort. Spend time meandering up to the enchanting cemetery, or through the quaint narrow alleyways, or join the locals for an espresso and cornetto. Early mornings are magic, before everyone else wakes up.”
“We had a roof terrace room and it was a really lovely room. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. The swimming pool was gorgeous. Free parking right outside. The town of caslano was beautiful, lovely circuit walk right from the hotel and we walked down to the historic centre at night to eat takeaway pizza at the side of the lake, as well as eating in the grotto opposite. “Firstly, all employees are very very kind to me. I didn't expect facilities of the hotel because there are a lot of harsh reviews about that. It is only the location that made me decide. Of course, the location was perfect and when I saw my room, I was so satisfied. It was clean and had small terrace with wonderful view. Mattress of the bed surprised me and bedding(covers) also has high quality. Breakfast was not bad. I will visit this hotel again. I swear.”

“일단 위치가 너무 좋아요! Lugano, Citta(푸니쿨라역) 바로 앞이고 나사거리와 치아니 공원, 호반산책로랑도 다 가깝고, 쇼핑이나 Coop 가기도 너무 좋아요! 호텔 조식 메뉴가 너무 훌륭하고, 직원들도 너무 친절하구요. 창문을 열면 보이는 뷰도 너무 예쁩니다:)”
“스위스 티치노 지방이라 그런지 몰라도 가격적인 면이 좋습니다. 그리고 깨끗한 객실과 호수 바로 옆, 주변의 쇼핑과 시내에 있어 좋네요. 다만 호텔이라면 객실에 화장실과 샤워실이 있어야 하는 데 복도에 있는 공용인 점과(그래도 깨끗하고 만족) 조식 제공이 1층의 레스토랑인 점은 상당히 다목적인 융통성^^이라 생각합니다. 결론적으로 성격상 고급 호스텔이네요. 하지만 이정도 가격이라면 가성비 측면에서 전반적으로 만족합니다. 다시 루가노를 내돈으로(!)온다면 여기를 다시 올 것 같습니다. ㅎ 회사돈으로 오는 출장이라면 더 좋은 곳으로 가겠지만요 . 결론적으로 추천합니다.”

Meine Freundin Corinne hat für uns zwei Zimmer für 4 Nächte im Guesthouse Magliaso gebucht. Wir waren leider beide in verschiedenen Gebäuden untergebracht und ich, im Zimmer 1 hätte ohne Corinne im Zimmer 7 keinen Zugang zum Gemeinschaftsraum und somit auch nicht zu Kaffee oder Kühlschrank gehabt .
