"This hotel is lovely, and has a lot of charm and character and it was a pleasant stay. It was convenient for me. However, rather than “do not disturb” as is customary in hotels, this hotel only provides housekeeping service by request. Not understanding this backwards way of doing things, I had no service in the four days I stayed. I’d seen the weak reviews about the hotel breakfast but the place was busy so we gave it a try: breakfast took *over an hour* to arrive at our table and was tepid, not fresh or hot, when it did arrive. And Gluten Free seafood chowder. Tip: For travellers visiting during the warmer months, bring a compact fan as they don't have A/C."
