"The style and age of the building was baroque and elegant, well maintained and a very comfortable room. Loved the bathroom and toiletries, and the maids kept the room very clean and adequately supplied with water and toiletries. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and cooked breakfast to order. Kitchen staff were very hard working, and ordering food could have been simplified, but when it did arrive was very well cooked. The reception staff were very professional and exceedingly helpful and courteous in helping us to find our way, and to book tours.We really enjoyed our afternoon tea in the annexe building, and appreciated the lovely music played, which was very appropriate and classical. A really lovely hotel ideally situated in the heart of Ortigia, which is a beautiful work of art. Would love to return some day."

"The hotel is quite cool - looks unimpressive from the outside but inside the rooms are very modern and clean. We had 2 rooms on the top floor with skylights which had remote-controlled shades. We were given code access to get in - which was perfect as we arrived early and dropped our bags off. We were lucky to fin street parking just across the street from the hotel. The location was awesome. Right next to the bridge to Ortigia. Plenty of coffee shops and restaurants near by. The staff provided helpful recommendations and was very accommodating. We would highly recommend the hotel."

Convenient city bus stop not far from the main gate to access downtown and Ortigia. Free parking for those with rental cars. Breakfast is okay, typical large group buffet-style with chaotic frenzy to grab fresh items in limited quantities. Restaurant for dinner is okay but overpriced. Much better dining options in town."

"We arrived feeling stressed after the drive to the hotel! The lovely young lady on the front desk welcomed us with a warm Smile and arranged for the bartender to bring us a drink outside so we could soak up the afternoon sun and relax. We were served a delicious aperol. The decor throughout the hotel is very tasteful even the corridors to the room. Clean white walls but a hint of original brickwork showing. Comfy beds, crisp white linen. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom. Everywhere was spotless. Great breakfast and amazing service. Lovely location just opposite the pretty pebbly beach and around the corner from the lovely streets full of restaurants, shops and wonderful architecture. Would definitely return."
