They used a master key to let me into the room, but I was never given access to my key. It's annoying to have to wait at reception for about 10 minutes to be let in. I saw several cockroaches, and the staff was unwelcoming, questioning me repeatedly about my visa. The distance was not ideal for the purpose I went to Mecca for, so most of the time I just went in the morning, slept until 11:30, and took the expensive cab to Al Haramain Mosque for night prayer.
