" I was in Kuching for 10 days staying at a different place every 2-3 days all around the same price range and this one was the worse of them all. The tv was a rabbit ear 13" with a snowy picture and 2 Vietnamese channels only. The hotel is old in a not so good area with hookers standing outside the hotel. The hotel is so old if it is clean you can't tell, needs paint, plumping toilet leaking around the base, needs lots of work to bring into a 1-star hotel rating. Many restaurants in walking...

If you nearby this area, take a break and have ice-cream. Though locals vouched for this place I find the icecream nothing to shout about (still better than what you get in town). BUT then again it's personal preference. Go have a go and decide for yourself. Sunny hill ice cream is located just next to the school.

"Fantastic hotel, great location. Plenty of towels, hot shower, cold A/C. Convenient for pick up/drop off via Grab. Walking distance to many eateries and landmarks. Was in town for a wedding with the reception at the Sheraton and opted to stay here based on location and price and I believe we got better value. The on-site breakfast was convenient for one of our busier days but otherwise not great value (quality v cost v available street options). Had a great chat with a gentleman in the elevator who turned out to be the owner - just super friendly and wanted to know how we were enjoying our time in town. Would stay here again next we are in town."
