"This is a very special place, like stepping back in time, absolutely gorgeous decor and grounds, every detail lovingly cared for. The bed was super comfy, immaculately clean throughout house. The breakfast was amazing, berries and pears from their own yard, hosts super nice. Have not stayed anywhere that felt more like a memorable experience vs a room for the night. "Well the room had some serious wear and tare too it. Carpet stapled to the floor to cover up something. Dresser really old and warned. There were two rat and insect glue strips, one behind the toilet and one by the refrigerator. The floor towel for the shower floor was stained. The towels to bath with really tattered. They should invest in towels and wash clothes. I went and bought my own. I did kill a roach. There was a very visible space at the bottom of the door and I had to use one towel to block air from coming in. Lastly, my adult kids wanted to visit with me for a few hours. I get to the door of ths room after having breakfast. The phone was already ringing when I was coming in. With the attendant stating " you can't do that". I told her my kids were visiting me. That right there changed my whole demeanor about this place. I will not return to this location. Oh yeah the ac/heater was loud and the curtains would not fully close."
