From airport get LeCar A1 bus (every 10 mins) from between T1 & T2, buy €20pp return ticket from station kiosk not €15pp/ew on the bus, takes 25 mins to St-Charles train / bus station, then 5 mins walk to the accommodation. Check in from 15.00 at Alex Hotel next door, however we were able to access our room a couple of hours earlier, thank you, note only 1 key is provided. Loft apartment 753 sq ft floor space and large terrace on top [4th] floor, panoramic view south to west of rooftops and beyond, the sun is on the terrace and living room all afternoon & evening, the living area gets hot even with aircon on and curtains pulled across, there are 77 narrow small spiraling stairs from the exterior door to the apartment level, no lift, the accommodation has two bedrooms with aircon and comfy queen beds & clean and fresh bed linen & towels, terrace has good size wooden table, 4 chairs & 2 plastic sun chairs, WiFi included, 102cm tv with Canal+ channels only, sofa, chaise longue, dining table & 5 chairs, kitchen has small table & 3 stools, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, 3 ring hob, microwave, no oven, all cookware & utensils, washing machine, clothes airer, double sink in bathroom, hairdryer, shower with rainfall head, iron & board, housekeeping is on request which costs €35 each time (studio are €25), free coffee in hotel lobby next door, if want breakfast (in Alex H) it is €15 pp/pd.

Very large space, and good location, perfect for our needs, right near train station and 10-15 min walk to the old port. There was a bit of a weird smell of something septic like in the bedroom that we would notice only in the mornings. And I wouldn’t say the kitchen is FULLY stocked, but it was more than sufficient for us, we enjoyed having a fridge and the coffee machine. Just grabbed some pods at the store. I did try to message a few time about getting the wifi info with no replies from host. But if we were desperate we could have walked next door to the Alex hotel to ask. Just tried the messaging because of the language barrier. Overall would stay again!

The family suite was excellent. We had a wonderful view of Marseille from our terrace and lots of room for everyone to do their own thing. The staff were very friendly and upon check in the gentleman offered to carry the large suitcase up the flights of stairs to our room. The location was right across from the train station and within a 20 minute walk of the old port.

Our apartment was perfect for our needs. Check-in at the hotel next door was a breeze, and the staff was excellent. They even offered free espresso from their machine in the hotel lobby even though we were staying at an apartment next door. The location of this property merits ten stars. It is essentially across the street from the Marseille St. Charles Train Station, which makes Marseille the perfect "base city" for travelers using a Eurail Pass. We stayed four days at the apartment and took two separate day trips--one to Arles and another to Avignon. From the apartment, we walked to the old town, the incredible historic wharf, and even to Notre-Dame de la Garde (although that is quite a hike for anyone at any age). Our apartment overlooked a large tree-filled square at the foot of the train station and was just a few blocks away from a nice little grocery store where we purchased breakfast items and also some items for a few dinners (we like to have our main meal at a nice restaurant for a leisurely lunch with a bottle of wine). The apartment had a nice sized living room with a kitchen and eating bar, a comfy bedroom, and a two-room bathroom with the toilet in a separate room across the hall from the room with the bathroom sink and a huge shower stall. Ample fluffy towels were provided and were easy to keep dry with the towel warmer. Also, the shower was by far the best shower in any of the hotels and apartments we stayed at during a three week trip in Europe.

Handy for the railway station, literally 3mins from the building you can be on the platform. Little disappointed with the utensils in the self catering apartment, a reasonable selection of pots & pans are pretty useless without a knife to prepare anything with, & not even a bottle opener. And the shower cubicle needs some attention as the door doesn’t close properly causing a flood if you’re not extremely careful. But on the whole, for the price, a reasonable stay, let down by 1 or 2 basics.

There is no lift to go 3 rd fl also the receptionist is very rude he doesn’t know how to speak politely when we asks for extra pillows and towels he seems very annoyed and when we talk to him he seems always annoyed and doesn’t not want to be bothered. Lots of beggars outside and what’s up with the graffiti all over the place?

Appartement bien placé pour tous faire à pied. Avec un véhicule il est conseillé de réserver une place de parking proposée par l Hôtel. Logement convenable pour 4 personne. La Propreté laisse à désirer. Personnel accueillant et très sympathique. La salle de sport est bien équipée. Le buffet petit déjeuner avait l air top .

Bien placé mais correct

Appartement rénové mais on dirait de la rénovation fait maison, de piètre qualité. Appartement d'après la réception au deuxième étage sans ascenseur, quand on ouvre la porte, un troisième étage surprise. Difficile de monter les valises et couloir très étroit. L'escalier qui arrive en haut est dangereux car on peux vite tomber dedans en sortant de la chambre. Il faut vider les poubelles avant de rendre la chambre. Réception et petit dejeuner à l'hôtel Alex à côté, rien à dire. Réception ouverte 24/24 h, petit déjeuner qualité prix ok, garde les valises au départ et à l'arrivée gratuitement.

Very nice room - we ended up in the rooftop room, which has a great little terrace. To keep in mind, there is no elevator and up to four flights of stairs. We could have had access to spa and there’s a nice lobby with free coffee. Very close to train station.
