“Placerville is an adorable historic gold mining town with a lovely main street with lots of cute shops and restaurants. The historic Cape Hotel looks exactly like it did 150 years ago in all of its old photos. It is like stepping back in time. It has the second oldest working elevator west of the Mississippi. “Good location to all the things and places we wanted to explore. Happy that pets were accepted and had some grass to run around. Yet with pets accepted there were no trash cans anywhere outside to dispose trash. Had to take with us to dispose somewhere else. Room was spacious yet bed lil uncomfortable. No pool :( yet Pleasant, nice garden and wouldn’t mind staying if we needed a quick getaway”
