The restaurant that it attached to the villa is literally at the front door. The food is amazing. We arrived past midnight on our first day because of a delayed flight and the staff, especially Dino, was so welcoming and helpful, which was a great start to our stay. "My friends and I recently stayed at the Monastery in Chania, and we have nothing but amazing things to say about our experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly well taken care of. We arrived at 7:00 a.m. after an extremely early flight, well before check-in time, and the staff graciously welcomed us rather than turning us away. They took our bags, invited us to relax by the pool, and did everything they could to have our rooms ready as soon as possible. After a long journey, this kindness made such a difference. The complimentary breakfast each morning was some of the best we have ever had at a hotel. Everything was fresh and delicious, with a great variety of options, and the staff were always friendly and attentive. Housekeeping was also exceptional. Every day we returned to spotless rooms, freshly made beds, and clean towels. I often left my toiletries on the counter while getting ready, and they would always be neatly organized when I came back. It was such a thoughtful touch and showed the attention to detail the staff put into every aspect of the stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, and full of charm, but what truly stood out was the hospitality. Every staff member made us feel welcome and genuinely cared that we had a wonderful experience. We would absolutely stay at the Monastery again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chania. Thank you to the entire team for making our trip so memorable."

"We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel. The service was excellent throughout, with friendly, attentive staff who were always available and made us feel genuinely well looked after. The food was a highlight. We had breakfast each morning and one evening meal, both of very good quality, with a wide selection and plenty of vegetarian and some vegan options. Breakfast wasn’t quite as hot as the evening meal, but was still very good. The restaurant itself is lovely, overlooking the pool. Our room was modern, clean and spacious, with a huge balcony, a lovely hot tub and a great second-floor view of the pool and sea. The bed was extremely comfortable and the lighting system was very useful. The pool area is beautiful, with plenty of space and no difficulty finding sunbeds. The beachfront location is a real highlight, with a gorgeous sandy beach and clear blue water. We even managed to get a cabana twice, free for guests of the hotel. The spa and indoor pool were also excellent. We both had massages, which were genuinely very good and better than many hotel spa treatments. The location is great, towards the end of the main strip but with restaurants and bars in every direction. The old town is around a 40-minute walk or 10-minute taxi ride away, and e-scooters & bikes are readily available nearby. We honestly have no negatives to mention, it is a fantastic hotel and an easy recommendation."

"The hotel catered for what you want. We came here thinking it was 5 star all inclusive but in fact it was more like a 4 star. You need to upgrade to get the branded alcohol, or water in bottles. It’s definitely geared towards alcohol. The food is good. There isn’t much to eat throughout the day in terms of snacks. Ice cream in tubs and homemade sandwiches. The pool is lovely and the views are fab. The vibe is nice. Hospitality is lovely and people enjoy themselves. The pool is the best part for me. Mr Marx at customer relations is fantastic. He is friendly, helpful and very personal. He takes an interest in you and remembers things you’ve spoken about and is really informative. All hotels should have someone like him. And he speaks 7 languages!!"
