“Convenient overnight stop when visiting our daughter. Car park is large but there are lots of larger vehicles that double park making it tight for others. It's clean, comfortable bed, good shower but you can hear everything from surrounding rooms...sneezing, coughing, burping, snoring, use your imagination!!”

“Staff were all so helpful and lovely. Room very comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast and it was all completely delicious, you could taste the freshness and quality. Enjoyed the cucumber watermelon picante.”

“We were very disappointed. Lack of maintenance meant room was very poor. Room was vvv cold, we were given an extra duvet. Windows didn't shut properly. Bedside lamp didn't work. Shower head not fixed to wall. Room was small but we expected that.”

“Really lovely stay - friendly staff in a small pub in Combe Down open for evening meals during the week, and open for lunch onwards at the weekend. We had a lovely welcome, preordered breakfast for the next morning which was really delicious, and was shown to our room upstairs. A lovely view of the white horse in the distance and a comfy bed, with lovely furnishings. We would stay again.”

“We had a fantastic stay here in one of the new deluxe rooms. The room was incredibly comfortable, very well furnished and spotlessly clean with a large bathroom. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection of hot dishes (special praise for the eggs benedict) alongside fruit juices, pastries, yogurt etc. We also had an evening meal in the pub which was again very nice. The pub is conveniently located a few minutes from the Bath park and ride. We'd...

“A lovely room. Light airy with big bathroom, comfy bed, excellent complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits in spacious room, with great view. Breakfast and evening meal all homemade/cooked. High standard and delicious.”

“This was a charming apartment that was walking distance from everything we wanted to see. Breakfasts were excellent!”

“Lovely, attentive staff who made me feel welcome. Unfortunately, the shower was positioned under the eaves of the roof, meaning anyone over 5ft 5in had to bend down to use it. There was also a power cut from 7am until 8:50am, and I was disappointed that no apology or acknowledgement was offered the following morning. A simple apology would have been a nice gesture.”

“A historic building in a central position in Frome, clearly an old coaching inn or similar. The bedrooms sit within a maze of staircases and corridors. Some stairs are best suited to young mountain goats. My room was on the top floor, up a narrow, steep stair with a tricky turn. My stick and I managed it, just, and staff brought up and took down my case. I expected an attic-type room, but it was spacious, with high ceilings, nicely laid out and with a clean, well-maintained bathroom - full...

“A nice stay. A lovely pub right in the middle of Frome. We stayed here to go to an event at the Cheese and Grain which was perfect. Just be aware that as the rooms are part of an active pub you may get some noise on busier nights”
