“We were grateful to get a room when fleeing from the forest fires in late July. The price of the room was seemed high for the type of facility. The pool, hot tub, and courtyard with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs was nice but also facilitated large noisy groups of people late into the night. Our second floor room did not have a screen door for the patio thus we could not enjoy fresh air without the accompanying flies coming in. When brought up to the front desk, there was no accommodation...
“Clean spacious cabin with hot tub right by the river in Winthrop. Walking distance to town. Included a nice breakfast in the lodge. $350/night seemed high, but apparently lodging is expensive near the National Parks around Seattle - there is more demand than supply.”
“The property is Western themed keeping with the town of Winthrop with cabins and 2-story buildings. Originally I was given a second story unit but asked for one on the first floor. It was clean and roomy. The walls were dark logs. Bathroom was clean with plenty of towels. TV worked well. Only issue was the formica countertop was cracked on the front corner.”

The location was perfect; slightly out of town, so quiet, but a short walk into town. The. hot tub was extremely clean and well taken care of.
The breakfasts were varied and very good. They even provided gluten-free granola and breakfast cakes. On a morning when the only egg options contained meat, the cook was happy to make us a scrambled...

“This is a beautiful lodge and property with gorgeous views of the surrounding land.
The room was lovely with a panoramic view, comfortable bed and antique furniture. In comparison, the bathroom seemed a bit basic (poor quality shelving and lighting), which did not seem in keeping with the nice room.
The lodge had lots of wonderful communal spaces to sit and read or take in the view.
It seems that housekeeping was available only by request, which we were not informed of on check in.
