"For a first time in Miami it was a good introduction into South Beach and the amenities that would be nice to have. First, we did appreciate the pool and fresh towels in addition to sunscreen and aloe Vera available on the pool deck. The proximity of the hotel to the beach and restaurants was excellent and the staff were overall friendly. However, the overall upkeep of the property and rooms were not up to par with many 3-4 star rated hotels. Although the bed sheets were clean and room service came in and refreshed the towels and sheets there were some serious issues with the room. Our first night we noticed small worms in our sink and after notifying the staff who confirmed they were going to handle it, there continued to be worms throughout our stay. Additionally there were small flies that somehow entered the room prior to our arrival. Another thing to note was that after spending much of the days outside we would arrive back at the hotel in the evening to find that room service had still not begun or were not finished cleaning the room; slightly inconvenient. Additionally out of our four day stay, our room was only cleaned twice. There were issues with signage, it was not apparent where or how to access the pools and there were no signs on the property to locate them (even after seeking help from staff it was unclear). Lastly NO beach chairs were provided so be prepared to spend money on that too.
