"When I arrived on Saturday evening, there was no parking available at the hotel. The staff told me to park in a garage, but since we were new to the area, it was very difficult to find. On top of that, they charged me $75 for parking for only one night.
At check-in, the room I received was not the room I booked. I paid for an ocean view room, but instead I was given a partial parking lot view. When I tried to explain the issue, the staff spoke very harshly and unprofessionally. I asked to speak with a manager, but they only gave me a business card and told me to send an email.
Later that night, the air conditioning stopped working and the room became extremely hot. The next morning, I found out the entire hotel AC system was down. Even the breakfast and restaurant area were very hot. I explained that I am diabetic and was not feeling well because of the heat, but the receptionist simply told me they did not know when the AC would be fixed and suggested I check out.
I stayed only one night. My Expedia booking showed the room was around $215 + resort charge 30$ + resort fee tax 4.20$ but they charged me almost $409.85 and could not properly explain the extra charges. I still have not received my refund because Expedia has been unable to contact the hotel manager. This situation feels very unprofessional and suspicious.
