Travelled by train to Milan then travelling on from there on train again. Few mins walk from milan central station, but in a quiet spot. Plenty cafes, bars and restaurants around ,walkable and nice breakfast in hotel- would use again

Station 43 is an excellent choice if you want to stay in a clean, affordable place near the Milano Centrale station. Although the hotel doesn’t offer the “glamour” of a 5-star property, I found it more than adequate. The staff is extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful, the property is spotlessly clean, the furnishings and decor are up-to-date, and I felt totally safe (compared to other big-city hotels near a train station). Beat of all, it’s a 3 minute walk from the train station, which houses “Mercado Centrale Milano“ – one of the best food halls I’ve ever visited, that’s open and lively until 12 midnight ( in case you arrive late and hungry).

The Hotel location was excellent. Very close to the Milan central station. Hotel needed abit of an upgrade but was comfortable for sleeping and shower.

The stuff wasn’t very helpful, there is no Electric Kettle in the room, there is a water machine in the hall way, but the hot water button was broken, when we ask the stuff to help out, they told us to get hot water from another level. So we have to walk up or down one level with many stairs get hot water to make ourselves a cup tea. We bought a packet of salad from the supermarket, asking stuff can we pls borrow a salad bowl or a plate from hotel’s kitchen , the stuff said “ sorry we don’t have bowls or plates ”. Which when we walk past the open breakfast area. There are many plates and bowls. When people travel, hotel is the place should give customers sense of “ temporary home” to provide convenient. But this stay experience made us feeling very uneasy.

The hotel has two buildings-the old and newer one. The old one is very smelly, outdated. The mattress is uncomfortable and old. Half of the building is facing the 24/7 garage. If you open the window, you will experience smell from smoking and loud talk of the people who works there. If you keep the windows closed, you will be in smelly room. It feels like you got to the cheapest motel possible. We were ready to completely leave it and loose our money. After we addressed the unlivable conditions and the sleepless night, the hotel staff offered another room in new building, which was much better condition, better mattress.

We only stayed for one night. Staff was kind and the room was clean. There was a lot of construction happening in the area of the property. The bathroom smelled like sewage. We had to keep the bathroom door closed at all times to reduce the smell from entering the rest of the room.

The room was very hot but we couldn’t open the windows because noise outside was extremely loud. Bed was so springy, could feel every little movement partner made. Pillows werent good. No lounge or separate areas.. just small room. No breakfast included

The room had quite some maintenance deficiencies but I paid less than $70 for a hotel just 3 minute walking distance from the main station, so I should not complain. The cleanliness was ok. There is road work right in front of the hotel so it is noisy during the day due to constant driving.

If your thinking to have a place for good sleep, shower and breakfast, and close to transportation (in case you want hop out of Milan for the day), and value for the money, this hotel will be great choice.. the staff are amazing and extremely helpful. I arrived early and found room ready for me with a flawless check in process. Breakfast is delicious especially their pastries and coffee.

I think this hotel shouldn’t be even listed on Expedia. We booked two nights and on the first night we arrived 8PM and the second we checked out 3.20 AM, so I already knew that we would only stay here for a short period of time. If we would’ve had any more time planned on this property, I would’ve cancelled the rest of the time immediately after arriving to the room. Please do yourself a favor and check google reviews! You can see this property has a lot of mold issues on their bathrooms, AC won’t work.. etc Our room had AC that didn’t let us to change the room temperature, our bathroom had moldy spots and the hand shower had liquid rusting/ mold on it I did decide to try to use the shower on the first night by using the overhead shower part and it didn’t even let me choose the water temperature to be hot OR even warm enough to be comfortable in the shower. Also I felt really uncomfortable even showering on the first place, since the bathroom smell’s molded as well. I couldn’t believe how misleading this property’s pictures and descriptions are. Immediately after arriving to this room I went through other people’s reviews and by doing so I felt like it won’t even help to change the room, since obviously I am not the only one who had have a similar experience and problems with this property. They also probably try to hide this mold issue by using extremely strong scented cleaning products and for a person with allergies this was not pleasant at all.

Water in the shower never got fully warm. The rooms are rather small for the price. The blankets were rather thin, even though it was the height of winter, therefore sleeping was quite cold. Pillows were not very comfortable either. I think it could be better for 100 EUR per night. Among good things is the location (if you need to be right next to the train and bus station) and easy access to the city center.
