Great location, and I love the aim of the project! The room was a good size, very comfortable but because of the age of the building it lacks A/C. Opening the window made the room fresh and breezy, but a bit noisy as it looks out onto the main street

The Beach Hotel is a social enterprise run by the YMCA as an apprenticeship scheme. In light of this we had quite modest expectations for our stay. But these were misplaced - the hotel is spotlessly clean, and run by professional, welcoming staff. The occasion was a large family reunion, and the restaurant served us all with a good simple dinner in an efficient and timely way. Service was excellent. The location opposite the beach is delightful and quite quiet - and very convenient for the West Somerset Railway which is warmly recommended as an arrival route.

We stayed for only one night. In the deluxe double room. The sea view was great, the room was clean and very spacious. Two down sides, walls were very thin, we could here everything from the room next door; the shower was quite poor, it workshy hold a constant temperature. Staff and breakfast were great.

Sunday away

Stayed sunday night so restaurant not open for evening meal but the breakfast was excellent. Room was clean bright and fresh great view of railway and the sea. Bathroom was clean and fresh with a powerful hot shower. Managed to park on site . Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful.
