The Hewing hotel was great and the staff there is absolutely AMAZING!! Staff is so helpful and kind with any needs you may have. Early check-in was available with NO charge, complimentary coffee and lemon water in the lounge area throughout the day. We were able to leave our suitcases at the hotel after check out while we did a tour. Overall, the decor, the staff and all the little touches were so appreciated making it a 10/10. The only request I would make is having two sets of towels in each room instead of just one. Otherwise, I can't thank you enough for a great getaway. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks for a perfect stay!

The staff and atmosphere at the hotel were top notch. The bed was very comfortable and the room well equipped. My only issue would be that there was only one towel in the bathroom - which was realized when my husband and I were getting ready to shower... I'm sure just an oversite. We didn't have time to explore the property, but as we walked through everything looked very nice.

Celebrated a friends birthday with a lux hotel staycation, and the hewing was awesome! Dinner at Tullibee was wonderful and the rooftop pool deck was really fun! We didn’t want to leave so we added a second night. Luckily there was availability and the staff was very helpful so we were able to stay in our same room. The bar was also fun and the staff were all great! Located in walking distance to lots of other fun places.

A mi gusto, es un hotel muy moderno y acogedor a la vez. El lugar está limpio y bien decorado. La terraza con sauna y jacuzzi tienen la mejor vista de la ciudad al atardecer. Lo único que quedó a deber, fueron las pocas opciones de comida en el restaurante del lobby, aunque la comida y el servicio fueron buenos.

The hotel is nice; the rooms are a bit small but attractive, though the spa pool is starting to look dated, with rust stains visible everywhere. The rooftop bar area is lovely, but the downside is that if you’re in the pool and want to get a drink, you have to take a long walk while soaking wet; it would be great if a server came by when people are in the pool, just in case anyone wants to order something.

Best boutique hotel experience. Tony served us on the roof top patio/bar and helped us pick local hot spots. He helped make our visit so memorable. The rooms were clean, comfortable and the fan we requested in advance was ready & waiting. Excellent spot!

I stay at the Hewing about once a week, and usually love it, and even prefer it over the four seasons, but lately things seem to be going sideways. Though I usually get a room in the same area on the 3rd floor, they gave me a room on the 2nd floor that was super far away from the elevator and really hard to find. The hostess at Tulibee was incredibly rude. The restaurant wasn’t close to full for breakfast, but she acted as if it was an inconvenience to seat me because I didn’t have a reservation, which I have never had to have before. The sauna didn’t have any towels or water in the morning, and the dirty towels from the night before were sitting in the hallway in a huge garbage bag. The cold water bucket was not attached for use after the sauna despite it being almost 80 degrees that day. This is my third recent stay where the sauna area was not well tended to. The last time I was there, it wasn’t even turned on in the morning, and the hot tub was closed for repairs with no signs or notice indicating it was closed. I have stayed here as a place of serenity during a very stressful divorce process, and the last few visits have been disappointing, and less peaceful. I really hope that things get dialed back in soon!

I discovered this place almost by accident a few years ago when I needed to travel to the Minneapolis area on business. Right away, I knew I'd found my Minneapolis Hotel. It has character, it is well run, and the staff are wonderful. I give especially high marks to the on-site restaurant, which is delightful enough to warrant a visit even if you aren't staying at the hotel. I think it's a winner.
