Super friendly and helpful staff that offered us a free early check-in at 1pm. Great location in new town (although be prepared for a bit of a hike if you're walking from the railway station). "This hotel is really interesting and quirky but its location in the middle of 10 car yards and rooms 110, 220, 310 upwards being on a major road into Ipoh makes it untenable unless you’re deaf. Honestly we found from dusk until 4am the noise from trucks, loud motorbikes and traffic to be unbearable and I am 60% deaf in one ear. "

The Chinese Cave Temples in Ipoh are incredible. Each has its own unique character and they are all worth seeing. Our favorite was this temple because we did not know there was this natural, open, circular, rock valley formation - sorry, it's hard to describe- so we were completely shocked when we walked through the low cave tunnel and came upon this! We had the whole area to ourselves and were totally in awe.
