Grand Williston Hotel & Conference Center

"Front desk staff was terrific, check in fairly easy. Room as abnormally large. First impressions: Parking lot is terrible, main entrance is uninviting. After entering the building things get better, front desk area is nice. Very strange layout, only two floors and no elevator. It was quite a hike from the front desk to our room up on 2nd floor. The whole complex feels outdated, cramped. After a 500 mile drive was looking forward to 20 minutes in the hot tub...nope, not working. Pool area was dimly lit, uninviting...had a 1970's feel to it. 167 rooms, no one was even using the pool. They wanted 18 bucks for breakfast buffet, we declined on that. Seems to be a lot of their clients are traveling workers, lots of service trucks in the lot that all disappeared early in the morning. It was o.k., but not somewhere I would not want to stay for more than one night."
