The Condado Plaza Hotel

6/10 Okay

"Property as a whole was ok. Is outdated and needs work. Beach chairs all need replaced. The pool area itself is good. Some outside sitting areas are blocked off. Not really sure why. Only one elevator worked. And there were times that both elevators didn’t work. There are elevators on the sides of the building that are outside that you can use. The lobby is clean but still outdated for sure. The bar areas are all nice. The rooms are very outdated and no matter what you do there is always moisture in the rooms. The floors are very slippery because they stay wet. We had to keep using bath towels to dry our floors. The bathrooms are outdated, but they had everything you needed to work. The design on the shower was not good. Water leaks out the door no matter what you do when you take a shower. And it floods the one side of the bathroom quickly.We did find out that we could use the hotel across the street for their pool and outside areas. And that hotel is updated. That pool area was extremely nice. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. And we were told that the hotel will be starting renovations floor by floor soon. This is our first time in Puerto Rico. And now that we have an idea of the area. We will probably stay at one of the other Hilton properties next time."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Residence Inn San Juan and would gladly stay here on every trip to Puerto Rico. The location is perfect for exploring the east coast, with many attractions nearby and the beach with the Puerto Rican flag is only about 10 minutes away. If you’re planning to visit the west coast, expect about a 2-hour drive. The customer service was outstanding. The front desk staff and housekeeping team were attentive, friendly, and quick to respond whenever we needed assistance. Check-in and check-out were seamless. We stayed in a one-bedroom studio with two queen beds, a living room, and a full kitchen. It was the perfect setup for three people and gave us plenty of space to relax. I also had a package delivered to the hotel and was notified immediately when it arrived, which was greatly appreciated. One of the biggest surprises was the laundry room. The washers and dryers are completely FREE to use! I’ve never stayed at a hotel that offered free laundry, and the machines were high-quality and well-maintained. Parking is available for $9 per day for elite members and $20 per day for non-members. A tip unrelated to the hotel: if you’re visiting Old San Juan, skip driving and take an Uber instead it’s much easier. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations with its spacious rooms, excellent service, convenient location, and fantastic amenities. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Puerto Rico!"
