Staff were lovely and changed my room when TV wasn’t working in original one. Bedroom basic but clean. Bathroom a little tatty- handle on toilet loose, towel rail down, hot tap didn’t work on sink, shower door awkward to close. However- it’s cheap and you get what you pay for, so for a budget stay it does the job.

There are many problems - it should not even be called a “hotel.” There are broken items inside the rooms, the walls are so thin that you can hear everything from the other rooms, and people smoke inside. The kitchen is extremely dirty, the rooms are cold, and the furniture is in poor condition. The photos do not reflect the real experience.

Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to help you. Parking on the promenade was free and we had a space right outside the hotel and as it was pouring down it proved so useful. We left the car for our two day stay and took the bus to Lancaster to visit family. Adele was very welcoming and check in was quick. The bed was huge, comfortable and the room was very quiet so we slept well. A range of cereals and croissants were available and we managed a window seat on both mornings overlooking the seafront. One improvement for breakfast might be to include some fresh fruit instead of so much hot buffet?

Cracking hotel for the price friendly staff the heating in the room was on it was clean free tea coffee yeah could do with a bit of a make over the buffet breakfast was good bacon sausage bean ect was just help yourself Davey Jones's locker is a good pub cheap and the Moroccan ower is great guy the kinda of bar owner you meet in a bar on holiday I would definitely go back again

The room was clean but very outdated. The stairs were lethal with luggage to carry. The price was good tho and I slept ok so it served the purpose of a bed for the night. It included breakfast which was really nice. Plenty to eat buffet. Coffee was great too.

Room was compact but had everything. Staff friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was great. Street parking wasnt too hard.

On arriving it looked unkept. Our room was the top floor with a sea view however it was a double room that should of been a single room. It was so small. The table was dirty as was the bathroom and skirting boards. There was a chair with a cigarette burn and stain on too. When I had a shower I had to cut it short as the basin part was filling with water and not going down. We told the staff member on reception and was told there was nothing he could do. We asked to move rooms and he said they were full and no other rooms available. The only positives was that the bed was comfy and the breakfast staff was friendly and the breakfast was good.

OK BUT......

The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and sea view wonderful. However hotel itself is in poor condition with pokey corridors and dirty carpets and odd steps along landings. Very dark inside. But buffet breakfast was well presented and plentiful.

Not bad, good value and reasonable breakfast

Staff are great, theres a decent buffet breakfast, the place is clean, it is though a 2 ish star hotel, its in a decent location on the beach, but at run down end of Morcombe. Rooms was a bit small and TV had no normal channels though I used my Netflix accts so was fine and its a smart TV, good wifi Its a typical Old B & B, not luxury but not that bad for price and for a contractor it was perfect, decent breakfast was included though I only used one day. Would go back as for a budget price its definitely OK and good value, my room was a single so not usually the best anyway, i am sure they have better rooms

Friendly welcolme. Smallish double, great sea view. Good free Wifi Bathroom tired, very poorly decorated, Extractor not working. Shower rail nearly falling off wall. Shower drain semi blocked. Good clean fresh towels Bed clean and comfortable. TV channels very odd. couldn't find Freeview. Friendly, helpful breakfast staff. Good choice, and hot. Scrambled egg a bit rubbery. Orange juice was quite weak..

Unsanitary rooms made for a terrible stay

We stayed at this hotel on August 5th for one night. We did appreciate the warm & friendly staff & they did their best to accommodate us. However, we did encounter multiple issues in our rooms. The first room we were assigned had a terrible, high pitched sound, that we believe was caused by the heavy winds that day. The corner of the room by the window had a large amount of dead bugs on it as well & the dust & dead bugs were on the curtains as well. The curtains were also in disrepair. We knew right away that we could not stay in that room. We returned to the reception area & the staff member there was able to get us a different room at the back of the hotel. We gave up our sea view in hopes of a better nights sleep. However, our second room was no better than the first. The room smelt of mildew & the walls of the bathroom were streaked with mildew marks. There was accumulated dirt & dust on every door casing & the floor boards. And, to top it off, in the morning we discovered remnants of someone’s poo on the wall behind the toilet paper. We are not picky people, but we were very disappointed with our stay. We can tell that the hotel is trying to make improvements & updates, as our friend’s room was much better. But, the cleanliness needs to be improved & rooms that are not up to the standards they present in their pictures should not be rented out.
