This particular Super 8 had a problem with forid flies in the room I stayed in. Forid flies are similar to the fruit fly but are far more invasive, problematic to rid of, and a health hazard to humans. I don't know if the problem went beyond my room but potentially it is a facility-wide infestation. Getting rid of forid flies requires finding the location(s) of infestation. Spraying or fumigating will not eliminate the problem and there could be more than one nest location within a facility. Treatment of forid flies is foreboding enough that exterminators such as Orkin will not attempt to control or rid a facility of them. A list of pests they don't treat is on their website and forid flies is on that list. Ironically, if you ask a local Orkin facility to treat your facility, they will claim they can rid your facility of ANY pests. But according to their own website that is not the case. Good luck.

I paid for this trip through after pay and noticed my credit card was charged for the stay as well. How can this be corrected. I thought I my card was being held for incidentals as some do but not pay double for one night

Not all Motel 6's are bad but for this one, Don't go there unless you are led by God, there is definitely ministry there. But its not a place for families to rest for comfort and peace.

The carpeting was wet near the desk. It seemed dirty. I had to wear shoes. The rest of room was good. Slept well. When i told the check out clerk about the carpet, he didnt show concern.

For some reason, I booked it in Mount Pleasant Iowa it was supposed to be booked in Mount Pleasant Michigan, and it picked up a code out of my computer, which the location where I bought my computer was out of Iowa and I booked the room there so I was not charged and we ended up staying at a hotel in Mount
