Muhammad Ali Center featuring modern architecture and night scenes

One of the world’s greatest boxers continues providing inspiration beyond the world of sport. Understand this superstar by visiting this center honoring him.

Enter Louisville’s Muhammad Ali Center to learn about this man whose greatness continued when he was outside the boxing ring. Muhammad Ali believed in the human race. The story of this sports hero is told in an impressive center in his hometown of Louisville.

Among Ali’s many quotes was this: “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth.” Learn about Ali’s contribution to the underprivileged and those in need, through his support and humanitarianism, widespread in America and in other countries. His philanthropy and influence were so impactful that he was named a United Nations Messenger of Peace in 1998.

The Muhammad Ali Center is based on the philanthropic star’s six core principles: confidence, conviction, dedication, giving, respect and spirituality. Each of these has its own exhibit. Follow the self-exploratory journey Ali pursued.

Note how Ali encouraged everyone to rise above race by promoting individuals as people with beauty and importance. Be with Ali, “The Legend” from his humble beginnings. He never lost sight of being “the greatest” nor wavered in his opinion about human rights and other things that mattered to him. Multimedia and interactive displays provide a powerful account of his life with the intention of making visitors pause and think about their own lives.

Enter the modern building and begin with the movie If You Can Dream, which instantly sets the mood for discovering Ali’s many interests, including art and poetry. His entire sporting career is presented through an award-winning film and displayed memorabilia.

Test your skill by shadow boxing with the Champ. Share a personal achievement task or goal with others in a video recording booth and take away a personalized poster by committing to a pledge or humanitarian belief.

The Muhammad Ali Center is open daily except Mondays and select holidays. Pay to park under the center. Purchase tickets online. Tours for the visually impaired can also be arranged in advance. Visit the center in Louisville’s downtown near the Ohio River. Leave with the inspiration to make a positive difference in the world as this great American did for six decades.

Don’t waste your money or your time . This is NOT A tribute to boxing , it’s a political statement in the eyes of a hugely racist individual . He may have been the greatest boxer of all time , but he was a horrible excuse of a decent human being . Terrible .
