If you’re not an experienced driver who is comfortable with steep, narrow Italian streets, I suggest leaving the car outside of the city walls before getting to the hotel. “The location is fantastic. Just steps from the shopping and restaurants. The hotel is old fashioned and charming. The bathrooms are in need of an upgrade both fixtures and lighting. But it’s quirky ways also are the very thing that makes it charming. I would ask for a room furthest away from Via Nationale as that street can be loud at night. They have a nice breakfast each morning w an option to eat in the outdoor courtyard. Their sweet staff will bring you speciality coffees to enjoy!”

“We had an excellent week at Il Querciolo. It is an ideal location for a base to explore Tuscany with Arezzo, Siena and Florence all within easy reach. If you prefer quieter smaller towns, there are plenty to choose from, such as Cortona, Monte San Savino, Gargonza, Lucignano, Castiglion Fiorentino - all close by. Cesare and family were amazing hosts and provided a warm welcome and plenty of suggestions of places to visit. They also produce some amazing wine, which you have to try when you stay....
