"We received great instructions from Amina on how to access the room which were easy to follow. If arriving in the day, the ground floor is where a lovely flower shop is, then up a lift. There are then 9 easy steps down to where the room is located. This was our 4th stop on our trip and by far the best room. Although in the centre of everything, the room is super quiet, modern, with a lovely-sized bathroom & powerful shower and great WiFi. We would highly recommend and will definitely return...

"Great location near the plaza and many stores/restaurants. Everything works except for in room safe. No electric kettle even though I requested it. Good grocery store and coffee shop only steps away. Located in historic area and building. Big triple room and quiet setting and nice lounge on second floor. AC works well. "To be clear we are rating the apartment around the corner. The actual Albergo centrale has no stairs and the LOBBY is also on the fourth floor so a tough climb with luggage. Fortunately our wonderful host was very responsive to messages and quickly rebooked us to a separate building with elevator, and apartment with wonderful bedroom, living room and kitchen for just $30 euros more per day. Well worth it in every way!! . Centrally located after a ten minute walk from the San Francesco parcheggio (parking lot), and close to Siena Cathedral, Piazza Centrale and much more. Plenty of room to relax in bright and airy apartment. (Warning: Bring your own hairdryer… the one at the apartment was horrible. lol. ) they also accommodate a late check out so we could catch an early morning exhibit. Great hospitality!!"

"The hotel is right in the historic site and as a result there was a very short walk to see the main piazza and attractions. Trying to find parking outside of the restricted vehicle access points was a total frustrating nightmare. The directions we were given to find free parking turned out to be metered parking and our vehicle would have had have been moved before midnight. Luckily we were directed by a local resident where the free parking was but we had to wait over an hour for a spot to open. The walk back to the the hotel was over 400 meters and it was very busy with tourists. The room was small but clean. The male receptionist we dealt with upon arrival was very short and not friendly. His replacement worker was much more accommodating and friendlier. The most frustrating part was trying to find parking. We went in September which was not even the peak season so good luck with the parking if you go."

"The accommodations were different. It consisted of an apartment in which you could find four rooms and a small area for coffee and some munchies. Our room was clean but noisy. Siena is a Medieval city which means through the ages they have constructed on top of other dwellings. In entering the building there is a wide stairs with 30 steps quite difficult to manage with a heavy suitcase. The staff does provide help when you let them know your time of arrival and of checkout day. Then, as in many places in Europe, the elevator needs to be small in order to make it feasible for three guest to go up slowly. Once you enter the apartment and go into your room, all is fine. We visited in late September and the knew when to provide you with the air conditioning according to the temperature."
