Wonderful stay. Staff was amazing, they helped transport our ski bags, they picked us up from the Hakuba train station and at the end of our stay dropped us off again. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Great spot to stay! Only 10 min walk to the ski field and plenty of restaurants around. Staff were lovely and super helpful, even offering a shuttle to the grocery store and bus station. Room was spacious and comfortable. Having a washing machine, bonus! Would definitely stay again.

The apartment for 4 person is located in a building with no elevator, so we had to carry luggage up the staircase. Luckily, we were given 2nd floor unit.
The apartment unit is spacious and clean. The staff is responsive to our message and can write in English. Overall still a great stay and would recommend to others. 👍

The Lodge was conveniently located - close to ski lifts & restaurants. It is however pretty dated & basic but the beds were comfortable & the Lodge met the needs for our 1 night stay.

The wooden cabin is so cute and perfect for our family of four. My kids love bunk beds and my husband and I have our own room so that was perfect. It is a 10 min walk to the Happy zone ski area which was so-able.

Our stay was nothing short of amazing. The hosts were some of the most thoughtful and accommodating people we’ve ever met, always going the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable—including offering lifts whenever we needed them. Their kindness and hospitality truly made our trip special.
The lodge itself was perfect in every way. The beautiful log house was spotless, well-maintained, and set in a fantastic location. It had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. If you’re looking for a place in Hakuba with exceptional hosts and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, this is the one. We can’t wait to return!

Wonderful space for a family break
This is a lovely lodge where we spent our Xmas family holiday. The main room is great with its wooden beams and high wooden ceiling. We had no complaints about cleanliness. The kitchen is small, but has a useful grill and 3 induction plates on the hob. There are 2 toilets - one in the shower room and one separate one, as well as a separate bath and washing area. The sofa is not very comfy, but the 8 cosy chairs around the main table make up for it. The reception staff are very friendly. If you don't require room cleaning every 3 days, then you get vouchers to exchange for snacks or beer/soft drinks!

The team at Hakuba Canadian Lodge made this place great! We stayed early in the season so we were the few (only?) guests in the place. The team kindly picked us up from Happo bus terminal on our arrival and even drove us to a supermarket for groceries (proper big supermarket, not a convenience store).
One person in our group fell ill after a few days skiing and the team went above and beyond to drive us to a clinic to see a doctor.
The cabin itself is quite aged but is very well maintained. It has a private driveway attached but since we didn’t drive the kids turned it into a giant snow playground and had so much fun. We did have some issues with the fixtures but again the team spared no effort in rectifying them quickly.
We would defined stay here again next time we are in Hakuba.
Our stay at this lodge was disappointing due to several maintenance and safety issues. The property is in desperate need of an upgrade. Upon arrival, our unit was very cold as the heat had not been turned on, and we quickly discovered that the hot water in the shower was not working. While the staff responded quickly to fix this issue, other inconveniences persisted.
The kitchen was missing many basic essentials there was no coffee, tea, or sugar, only salt, pepper, and cooking oil. Additionally, the washing machine and heater in the back bedroom worked intermittently, which made our stay less comfortable. and resulted in a trip to the laundry mat.
On the positive side, the water pressure in the shower was fantastic, and the location was convenient, with easy access to the free shuttle.
However, safety was a major concern. My husband slipped on ice while walking to check out, resulting in a hairline fracture to his wrist. Given the icy conditions, some salt or snow clearing to the main office by 9 AM would have been greatly appreciated.
Overall, while the staff was responsive, the lodge needs significant improvements in maintenance, amenities, and safety measures to provide a more comfortable and worry-free experience for guests.

It's our second time to stay here as they got everything we need, washing machine, kitchen, spacing and nearby the slopes. Love everything here.
It would be even greater if they have a curtain in the bedroom as I'm not a morning person and it's so bright in the morning.

Room to spread out.
This place has great space! Unfortunately, it was not as clean as it should have been. There were lots of dust motes hanging in multiple window frames, ceiling fan covered with clumped on dust, under bed had trash and lots of dust, etc. The cabin, while functionable and a well appointed kitchen, is also dated and in need of some repairs (hole in bathroom door, hole in entry hall, slight curling of linoleum bathroom floor, no rotating dish in microwave, no window coverings in bunks or entry door (which looks right in on the bunks), living space doesn't have blinds on all windows and ones that do are light filtering. The lack of blinds or the light filtering blinds are a problem at night because of the evening outdoor light that remain on all night.....light bleed is a major issue everywhere. People running the place are very nice, and want to be helpful.
