"The rooms were fine and clean. Our stay was just overnight so we didn’t need much. Bfast was good the next morning and staff was friendly. If you aren’t looking for anything fancy but just need a comfortable stay, I’d say book it."

"Pool was cold, no hot water in tub, the mattress was too small for bed frame, so you could only get in or out on one side.
The cable box was missing from TV, the staff did remedy that.
No restaurant as advertised, no breakfast.
There was a coffee pot in room"
"The staff was great. Elevator 1 of 2 was out of order. Back door key entry was out of order. The pool was EMPTY. Breakfast was very limited - Pretty much just a bagel and apples. Bed wasn't comfortable. Cheap rate though."
"The cleanliness of the place was very poor. There were candies on the floor underneath the desk and the shower had black hair. Sofa was very itchy and we put down a towel before sitting on it. On the 3rd day, the cleaning service just put new toilet paper and took out the garbage, but nothing else.
For the price, look for cleaner, more well maintained place in downtown South Bend."
"This hotel is relatively new and is just beginning to show some signs of wear like chipping here and there is the bathroom, scratches on the bedside table, small holes in the window blind. It is generally very quiet there and the walls seem to be thick enough to block out the TV or other normal sounds from adjacent rooms.
If you value quiet, don't take a room on the first floor. It's too close to the lobby where people gather and play games, pool, etc in the evenings.
In cold weather, I miss carpet on the floor in the rooms. The HVAC system can be wonky running the temperature higher or lower than it's set to.
Beds are firm but comfortable and rooms are always clean. There is very little storage for clothes, a few hangars on a bar and no drawers. Just fyi-not an issue for us.
The breakfast is good. Always well stocked with an attendant who really hustles! There is a microwave in the breakfast/lobby area which is useful when the oatmeal or hot water for tea isn't hot enough. (There are no microwaves in the rooms).
We have stayed many times on visits to family and will do so again."
