"You must read-up on what to expect at the queen’s hotel. It may or may not be for you. It feels like stepping back in time. The place is a little shabby in places but if you want to have that feeling of living a bit of history it delivers. It’s an excellent location and the staff are all friendly and helpful. A photo taken while I was traveling to Badulla in the upcountry railway line. This is the most scenic railway line in Sri Lanka and it's highly recommended. You will find this one in a life lite experience. It is totally 8 hour ride if my memory is good.
