"Simple but clean room with private balcony, refrigerator, cold AC, nice and clean bathroom with hot water and good water pressure in shower. Very friendly and helpful staff and nice housekeeping. Beautiful location on large beach, plenty of beach chairs available, shade trees and great access to the crystal clear water. Beautiful whiter sand, no trash on the beach, well kept. Delicious and affordable restaurants next door and in short walking distance. Property has fully recovered from the hurricane, zero issues or inconveniences due to the storm. Please don't cancel your reservation because you are concerned about that."

"Very cute & clean rooms. Nice variety in gift shop. Perfect location on 7 mile beach. Excellent bartender & very reasonable drink selections. Lots of delicious selections to choose from on breakfast, lunch & dinner menues. Lunch menu is served til 5pm! Fine dinning for dinner!"

"My stay at Shields was so lovely, relaxing and memorable! The room is a perfect size and being able to choose the ocean or pool each day was nice. I met two friendly and helpful bartenders, Kaci and Abby, who made me feel most welcome. I also met the maintenance/repairman Stephan who took time out of his busy schedule to walk me to and from town simply to keep me safe and comfortable whether to get cash or food. He couldnt have been more kind to me. I couldn’t have been happier staying there and I would gladly come back! "

"They try and charge you more when they realize you use Expedia to book (I use Expedia to find them! And places and to save$$) they also charge guests for the yoga classes when they make it seem as though the guests are able to do the classes, yeah for $35 a class! Double what I pay in Boston MA! Also there is no spa! There is no amenities they do not set you up on the beach lots of lies in their advertising:( loved Jamaica though would go again, but not stay there…"

"I absolutely love this place. This should be called a boutique hotel. It’s close to the beach. It’s calm all through the day or night. You can find the staff. They’re very polite. I definitely will recommend coming here. Views are amazing and everything is basically close by ATM jerk chicken clubbing soup grocery store it’s just really convenient. We’ll see them back before the end of the year."
