You arrive at Drifters as a guest and leave as FAMILY!! Ive stayed at numerous hotels in negril, all very nice. However, Drifters is simply Magical! I booked originally for 5 night stay but the connections and experience I had there made me extend my stay 2 more nights!!! I WILL be back! So much so, that Drifters will be tired to see my face. Esta fue una estadía entrañable e inolvidable en este lugar. Vine con la expectativa de un alojamiento en el cual pudiera despertar y quedar a pocos pasos de la playa y encontré lo que buscaba. Adoré la mezcla de sencillez y rigurosidad en cuanto al aseo y presentación del lugar; el personal es amable pero firme en ese sentido. Personalmente adoro la rutina de los hostales de tener que compartir la cocina e interactuar en ese espacio; guardando la debida consideración (hasta los huéspedes con los que interactué merecen una mención en cuanto a calidez y amabilidad). Me encantó el espacio del bar entre el alojamiento y la playa. Si buscas sol, mar, reflexión y conectividad no necesitas ir más lejos: aquí está lo que deseas. No se puede hablar de cosas por mejorar: desde un principio yo tenía claro que el espacio no dispone de AC y por ello adapté mi estancia a esa realidad; aunque debo decir que pongo en consideración de los propietarios instalar este servicio a futuro: en una ubicación con temperaturas de más de 30°C con sensación térmica de hasta 40°C estas se pueden enfrentar mucho mejor. Por último mencionar que al entrar desde la vía principal hay una tienda en donde puedes conseguir lo básico y necesario de mercado y enseres para tu estadía y debes acarrear tu compra menos de 50 metros hasta llegar al alojamiento. En conclusión: volvería sin dudarlo; no concibo un espacio mejor en Negril; sujeto a la instalación de AC a futuro.

Super awesome location just steps from the beach. Space to park your car and be near all the action on the beach. Bar right next to hostel and other bars and eating places nearby. Only 2 problems: 1. internet is spotty at best. 2. Not hot water for showers - cold showers, ouch!

What a absolutely, awesome month I enjoyed at Drifters in January 2021! Drifters Hostel caught my attention with two main attractions that I like, live music and a minute away from the beautiful Seven Mile Beach. Experiencing live entertainment, three times a week, during these crazy times reassured me that music and live entertainment is the best medicine to cheer ya up! I met so many wonderful people, from all over the world, during my stay at Drifters, all of them are now life long friendships. One Love ❤️ One Jamaica 🇯🇲
