“Everything about this place was truly amazing and beautiful. Even though the pool was closed my family and I still found things to do around the area.”

“This is a cute place to stay but a bit dated. It is dog friendly and it was lovely to see so many furry friends enjoying a trip! We stayed in a building round the back which had some quirky wallpaper but needed an upgrade. Interesting rules around breakfast which were explained in terrifying detail by staff who had been well briefed - "You have 30 minutes from when you enter until you must leave, and you can have one hot drink refill". That was a bit much, but we complied!”

“Beautiful stay, lovely food , breakfast was great”

“Room 1 is extremely small, but was spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. There were too few staff. Service at dinner and the bar was very slow. Dinner wasn't as hot as it should have been. There was too much food on a small plate, I had to hunt under the chicken for my vegetables! Overall, it's quite expensive for food that although was delicious it wasn't hot and not served in a timely manner.”

“Lovely decor in the hotel. Our suite was gorgeous. We ate in the restaurant and it was lovely, great menu. The pub is very cosy, very relaxed feel to it.”

“Beautiful hotel, second time staying for one night, breakfast included, evening meal have to book separately which was easy to do. Everything about this hotel, location, availability of rooms, staff and food was truly amazing. We will be booking again, probably near Christmas time.”

“Fairly comfortable stay”

“Great staff friendly and helpful, nice relaxing atmosphere, very nice breakfast, only two very small suggestions would be nice to have longlife milk sachets or similar in the room save having to go down stairs and ask for milk,and could do with a shelf in the shower no where to put shampoo ect when showering”

“Room was very small, and the light in the bathroom were kind of dark small but people at the hotel were very nice and distance from the station was very close. Especially I liked the breakfast. Restaurant was small, but they got a menu and served fantastic dish.”

“Friendly and professional staff. Wonderful evening meal (the Halloumi Flatbread was delicious). Good parking, spacious bedroom well appointed. The chilled complimentary fruit juice & water was much appreciated after a 400 mile journey! My only issue was that room 4 was right over the outside seating area and I can only imagine that during World Cup season this could prove to be a problem. As it was I did have the creaking stairs (access for all guests) and loud music blasting from the bar below...

“5 different members of staff spoke to me from the maintenance man, three of the desk team and two members of staff at breakfast. Felt very very welcomed and genuinely looked after. I usually stay at a Travelodge or a Premier Inn. I will only stay here now. Cleaner, better maintained, more friendly, good room design, useful amenities, handy alcohol vending machine. Free tasty breakfast. Quiet in the night. A great stay.”

“Clean , well appointed , well decorated and finished . Friendly staff and lovely breakfast . Had a jacuzzi bath this time and was lovely . Doesn't do eveni g food but plenty of local places to watch such as Rumpus Burger or closer the French cafe resturant le cachette which has lovely food . No doubt I will be back”
