The property is very convenient to the downtown area as well as being safe and quiet. The owners, Sandy and Cathy, are excellent hosts. The rooms are clean, well maintained and are very comfortable. The rooms I have stayed in have all had good views of the town and harbor.

The owners of this property have put alot of effort into having guests feel like one big family and to feel looked after. This was our favourite accommodation on our recent trip to Nova Scotia and PEI. The room with private bath was gorgeous. The hospitality was superb. Our host, Sandy, was charming and an outstanding storyteller. Breakfasts were a delightful and delish experience with Sandy serving in his kilt while Kathy baked croissants in the kitchen. Cannot speak highly enough about this memorable stay.

We very much enjoyed our two night stay at The Scotsman’s Inn. Sandy and Cathy were convivial hosts and provided us with a lot of helpful advice on areas of local interest and our journey onwards to Cape Breton. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the bed/mattress was very comfortable. The Inn had been lovingly restored and was full of character. A small improvement for us would have been the provision of natural yoghurt and decaf coffee for breakfast.

B&B’s have stairs to your room…

Difficult climbing 50 steps with luggage to room although we knew this was coming. Do not arrive before 4:00 check in. Nice breakfast but not a lot of protein. Room was nice with view.

First impressions I was skeptical as to what wife booked but after meeting owner and seeing his renovations I was impressed. Room was small but we were there for short overnight stay so didn't matter.Wife has MS and there were alot of stairs up to room but again short stay.Walking distance to several restaurants with harbor view.Close to ferry terminal and motorcycle parking.Owner very accommodating.
