Great little pub very welcoming! The food was nice and at a good price. The rooms were a little dated and needed new silicone etc around shower area and the shower pressure wasn’t the best but was functional. Good amenities and comfortable bed. Was good value for the money we paid to stay. Would stay again if in the area.

A Good Night's Rest

Comfortable stay at a space with affordable food (though they missed off my jalapenos...), and I appreciated that the radiator was off when I arrived, allowing me to set the temperature myself (far too many places have it all the way up by default, leaving the room stuffy). Decent shower and in-room complimentaries, and little noise pollution from the bar below allowed for a good night's rest.

The room was a little tired looking but it was clean. The bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee was plentiful and as its a pub there were proper drinks to be had in the bar. Despite it being a pub just on the corner of a main road it was very quiet. En suite facilities again were fine although the door didnt close. As long as it ticks 2 boxes for us its fine and they are clean and comfortable which it was.

Basic but worth what I paid

This is definitely a basic room, it has the essentials for a traveller who just needs a room. No frills. The room was clean and the staff for booking in were great. The let down has to be old single glazed windows that don't shut. The decor needs updated. If this place had a bit of money spent it could be magic. That said, you get what you pay for and it was cheap and did what I wanted as a solo guy with a packed weekend. Would use again

Unfortunately we were unable to stay at the Longship. We arrived after our concert to a closed pub. In the write up it states check in after 2pm with no end time, it also states to communicate with the property for late check in to arrange access no one responded. Please change the wording in the advert to explain better checking in only in pub hours.

The room was basic but very clean. Only downsie was that somebody had forgotten to empy the bin in the room before I got there and I had to ask for the heating to be put on as the 1st night was very cold, it did go on late in the evening on the 2nd night so all goo, but overall nice place, spot on staff and will stay again!

My son and i stayed as we were going to the football. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, room was basic but perfectly clean, and exactly what we needed. Had a couple of drinks and dinner in the pub, everything was great value for money.
