The rooms are so incredibly lovely, the howler monkeys surrounding the property are a delight but above all the staff is the best! "The property was beautiful. Everyone in the resort was extremely friendly and warm, especially, the 2 bartenders by the pool bar, Marcos and Manuel. Marcos and Manuel took an interest with everyone who visited the pool bar. They were both very attentive and caring with all of our drink orders. They made the whole trip more fun and welcoming. "I had a nice stay at occidental however I feel the resort should update the lighting on the resort. At nite it’s pretty dark. And they need to have make sure your rooms are stocked with wash clothes. I went several days begging for wash clothes. I had to use the hand towels to bathe. And thank god one of my friends from the trip gave me one because she had multiple. And they also need to have options to eat after 10pm. "
