“The hotel appeared nice, there did appear to be a bee/wasp nest near one of the exits. Otherwise the breakfast was really good (the coffee was just ok), the outdoor areas were well kept, the pool was clean and comfortable. The room was nice enough, though we got a suite expecting a full living area and a separate bed area. The room felt very cramped and appeared to be a normal sized room with a wall in the middle. “We were just there for one night, to enjoy dinner and attend a concert, but enjoyed our stay. We will certainly stay there when we have time to return to explore Blennerhasset Island. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and found the servers to be excellent both times. The food was also generous and delicious. We would only suggest that the she crab soup have the expected chunks of crabmeat rather than crabmeat that seemed to have been ground up.”

“We came back to our hotel room around 8:00 pm. My husband deadbolt the door and opened the doorstop because we were in for the night. At about 9:00 pm, without knocking or prior notice, a front desk employee opens the door to our room. He had a step in the doorway with his shoulders and head into the room before he noticed us. He said a quick “sorry” then shut the door again. My husband went into the hallway to investigate. The employee stated that “usually there are not guests in that room” and...

“The rooms were dirty. The wonderful woman behind the counter did her best and moved me to several different rooms. She was very patient and understanding. I saw on Expedia it had an 8.2 rating and some good reviews, so I thought it would be acceptable. Corporate needs to put some effort into this place. Not only the inside, but the American Flag flying out front is torn and tattered. ”

“Definitely a older traditional hotel feel. Very old, classical rooms and atmosphere however a lot of charm. Lots of activity going on in the bar area and cafe/food places. Times were a little tricky as to who had food when but great service.”
