“I've stayed at the Hotel Guanacaste for 15 years - the only times i have not is when they haven't had a room available- it's my preferred local. It's not a fancy place, but it suits my needs. It is very close to the bus stations and dining choices ”

“It was a very nice resort. Everything is easy walking distance. They do have a shuttle if you do not want to walk. Very close to the beach. Not a big beach but it is nice. It you want a massage their are people on the beach to do it plus if you want to do a tour there is someone on the beach who can arrange them. They are much cheaper than the hotel tours. Food was good and specialty restaurants were very good. Two pools and they were very nice. They have activitives arranged throughout the day...

“The staff was exceptional. Our luggage was lost in transit, and they provided us with essential supplies to accomodate. Also the family lounge had fresh bakery and snacks for kids and a variety of premium liquor for adults. However, the room had a leaking AC and instead of fixing it, they just put the rug on the floor where it was dripping. The kids also saw a cocorach in the bathroom, we told them you have to be understanding of nature when you live among it. And, the kids' robes were too small...
