"Hotel was exellent very clean room and lovely power shower fresh towels daily. Hotel reminds ne of scandanavian type in decore. Food was exellent. But starter menue a bit short and bland. Staff were amazing nothing too much trouble very proffessonal and friendly. Spar was amazing 2 thermal pools . Had treatments that were exellent."

"The booking clerk was quite brusque and was unable to give any information about activities in the area. This was unsurprising, as the same man was doing the bar, reception and taking and serving food orders on our first night - no sign of anyone else! The room had a good view of the lovely looking garden with picnic tables and view of River Dee. Unfortunately, it remained padlocked throughout our stay. The room was a good size with twin beds, but laid out so that you had to crane your neck to see TV. Closed captions/subtitles for the hard of hearing had been requested and the man at the desk had sorted it in advance. Beds were comfortable. There was one working heater and one which did not work. Towel rail in bathroom did not work and, at times, the plumbing was noisy. We did not order breakfast (extra charge). On the second evening, we did request to buy a meal but we were told there would be no food this evening, "We have a party of 60 to serve" so ate out for the rest of our stay. The room cleaner did a good job with the tools available. Having to sign in with all our details on-line prior to arrival is unsatisfactory - as is paying for parking separately from the booking. When there was an intermittent fire alarm during one night we were given no formation whether it was all-clear or whether it was a false alarm. Fire alarm was very good one and loud with a flashing red light - good for someone with hearing loss. Overall: Adequate."

"The staff were really pleasant efficient and very very helpful. The only problem we had was we paid for a superior double room which was really good with a little sitting area where the tv was. The bathroom let the room down as the shower was so small and being on the big size I couldn’t get in!!!! The hotel interior was fine but needs a good overall externally !"

"I particularly liked the fact that staff don't come into the room until after the end of the stay - therefore no interruptions from a chambermaid and no having to tidy the room up during my stay (replacement towels, toilet paper etc., can of course be requested at reception during the stay if required)."

"Staff were all very welcoming, our rooms were spotless. Beds were very comfortable. Spa pool, steam rooms and saunas were relaxing, well maintained and clean. We ate dinner in the bar, great service and food and cocktails were very good. We celebrated a family members birthday in style, watching the sun set over the estuary and looking at Conwy Castle. Breakfast was very good too, with lots of choice and cooked breakfasts with local products aswell as pastries, cereals, fruit etc. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash products were high quality too which is rare these days. The hotels customer service was excellent overall. Have stayed here twice now and will definitely be back."
