“First off, this is an historic resort, and it is not air conditioned. Our room had a tower fan that ran continually and as soon as it cooled down at night, we got the windows open. Second, this is not a resort for small children, as there isn’t really much for them to do - no pool, no playground. “Omg!!! The Highlands Ranch Resort is a hidden gem!! Gorgeous surroundings, 10 min drive outside Lassen Volcanic NP. The individual cottages with fireplaces, heated tiled bathroom floors, the most comfortable bed and bedding! In the morning light snow was falling - breath taking views!
