"The room was clean,the stairs were difficult for us but we are in our 80s,the pub is located in a quiet area with easy parking ,both nights we were able to park close by.The breakfasts were well presented with generous helpings."

Because the hotel was closed for refurbishment - and EXPEDIA failed to notify us prior to travelling - and also EXPEDIA refused to share our phone number with the hotel so they were unable to inform us in advance of our arrival - fortunately the hotel staff were able to assist us in gettinga ccomodation nearby. "The room was clean and tidy, staff were pleasant and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good and varied. The only drawback for us was the lack of a cooked breakfast. I didn't like the continental offering, There was however a fridge in the room. We took our dog with us for which we paid 35 pounds there was nothing provided for the dog"
