The hotel is centrally located and clean but could probably be more accurately described as a B&B than a hotel, there is no reception, stairs as you enter which takes you to landings with rooms on. This wasn't necessarily negative, I just think it is important to consider when comparing with other hotels.
The washing powder used left the sheets smelling slightly unpleasant, not unclean but definitely quite overpowering for such a small room. The tv, wifi, hairdryer and kettle all worked fine and there were enough sockets in the room to charge phones/laptops etc. There wasn't access to an iron which though not advertised, would improve the experience.
Finally I was told to pay a £30 deposit on arrival to protect against any theft/damage etc. I would have liked to have been informed about this before arrival, however the amount was never debited from my account, meaning the process was creating a £30 security rather than paying than having it returned, which I don't really have any complaints about.
In sum, Robin 7 is a nice enough place to stay, however at almost £50 for one night during the week, I think it is relatively expensive.
