“We stayed here twice, once on our way from New York to Illinois and again on our way back, and it was a great place to stop with our kids after a long drive. The pool area is definitely the highlight of the hotel. Our kids loved it, and it was the perfect way to unwind after being in the car for hours. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent. The only issue we had was with our first stay. Although we booked a non-smoking room, the bathroom had a strong cigarette...

The walls are crumbling, entire sections of the roof were missing, there was a piece of plywood between the box spring and mattress I had to be careful I didn’t t break my toes on because it stuck out so bad, the water in the pool left a slimy scum on my skin, there was no remote for the tv, the blow dryer didn’t work, the chairs were so filthy I was afraid to sit down in them, the staff were clueless as to what was going on in the area...

“Hairdryer only operated on low. Elevator was questionable. It jerked and often landed lower than the floor creating a step & possible tripping hazard. Front desk gentleman was alone and very busy, but went above and beyond to offer help if needed. He was very apologetic about the wait checking in even though we were not overly concerned.”
