"Grand floor room was very nice. Clean with plenty of amenities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The service in the restaurant could have been better but still 5 stars overall. "

"The modern hotel itself is a great facility set in a modern library setting with a variety of interesting books free to peruse. The two outstanding problems with this hotel are (1) access by public transportation is very limited, forcing the guests to hire a taxi to convenient nearby train stations such as Tokorozawa station costing 2,400-2,600 yen each way, and (2) the breakfast purchased optionally is practically the same throughout your stay—three different kinds of sandwiches. "This hotel was great spot! The staff are friendly and it was helpful that they spoke English. The hotel is very close to the train stations, many convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The room is small (like most hotels in Tokyo) but definitely fine for 2 adults. This hotel is in the red light district so be aware of that but it never caused any issues for us. Definitely would come back! "
"Excellent room, amazing breakfast options for both western and Japanese. Really enjoyed that almost every employee took the time to say hello and help at any moment."
"I have been staying at the Hotel Metropolitan for over 30 years and it always shines! Everyone is very friendly, the rooms and common areas kept very clean. I did have one issue on this visit as there was an occasional odor in my hallway and room as if the sewer had backed up. I was on the 7th floor. I hope this was temporary and fixable as it was quite unpleasant at times. Thank you."
