Everything was fine except for 1 big problem. At checkout the person said that a receipt will be emailed to me, as the printed receipt was unclear due to a printer problem. Well, the receipt did not come. It took 3 emails to correct an error of misunderstanding on the hotel's part, as they were not planning to email a receipt. Finally a receipt did arrive. I do not understand the problem. It should not be difficult to fulfill their promise to email a receipt. This is not the way things should be for a hotel of this price range. This is unfortunate as it spoiled what was a very good stay otherwise. The concierge was excellent.

Travelled solo to Ottawa and stayed at Le Germain. They were accommodating of my late check-in and late check-out requests. The radio was playing when I entered the room, which was a nice touch that helped make the space feel welcoming. Ate at the breakfast buffet the next morning. Overall great experience, clean and safe environment. Would definitely go back!

Lovely high rise property with restaurant and lounge just a few short blocks from the Rideau canal, Rideau Center shops, restaurants and ByWard market. Highly recommend if you enjoy a very modern aesthetic. Very professional staff, clean spacious rooms with state of the art lighting and features. A special oasis for the business traveler in a busy downtown or a nice retreat for a couple touring this beautiful city.
