"What a fun place. The history of the lodge was great to learn. The domes were great. Loved the outside private tub. The wood stove was such a nice warm touch. We experienced both a sunny day and a rainy windy day. Both awesome. Loved listening to the rain and wind the second night. I had read a review that said it was their best experience of their trip. I totally agree. Brit was awesome and provided us with all the comforts of home and then some. Thanks Matt for providing this awesome experience. Wished we had met you and been there on a music night. Loved your soundtrack. "

"Great base to explore the National Park, enjoyed our meal (a treat) at the on-site Hell-Yers Restaurant. Very glad we’d booked that in advance! The breakfast hamper worked well for us to be able to cook our own breakfast in the morning, before heading on to our next destination. The accommodation was clean and had all the facilities needed, loved the balcony area for a cup of tea and birdwatching late afternoon "

"We had a cabin in the wilderness. Really nice and tidy. It's really in the wilderness, don't forget to bring a book, there is no internet (apart from the Lodge itself) Breakfast buffet was simple but ok. "

"Our room was clean, comfortable, spacious and well-appointed. It had a lovely view of the bush and afforded an opportunity for sighting wildlife, however the balcony was minute. The breakfast buffet was varied and adequate. The quality of our evening meals was excellent and the staff serving us were friendly and efficient. Given the cost of the room ($450 per night) we were disappointed by the state of the carpeting adjacent to the balcony (see attached photo). This is something that should have been rectified. "

"Don’t be put off by the rustic exterior and surrounds. The chalet interior is cosy, well-appointed and spacious with wood panelling on the walls and lovely matching blinds and curtains. The bed was comfortable with a handmade doona (bed spread). The bathroom was spotless and has been recently renovated. The chalets and studios are in a very convenient location - short walk to the local hotel which serves great meals and a short drive away from the visitor centre at Lake St Clair National Park. "

"This has to be one of the best places we have stayed. Wonderful staff. Where else do they come out to greet you in the parking when you arrive?! A delightful room with views over the lake, an amazing picnic lunch left in our room with fresh bread, a pre-dinner drink and canapé and a superb dinner. All this in a spectacularly beautiful location. Thank you."
