Palermo Coast, Sicily hotel rooms at the Independent

"Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, everything seemed & felt new. Breakfast was good. Property is 10 minutes by car from the airport in a quiet, rather isolated area. You can hear planes take off and land, but they do not fly overhead. If you have a late arriving flight into PMO (or an early departure from PMO), this is an excellent choice."

"The hotel is an easy 10/10!! The property is gorgeous and conveniently located to the piazza and a hiking trail. The resturaunt is definitely one of the best ones on Mondello strip as well!The pool was lovely and we used it everyday, they also have ocean access too. I stayed for 5 nights and six days with 3 travelers, we were properly accommodated. The staff were very helpful with any needs or questions. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Sicily! "

"This hotel is beautiful both beach and pool. The restaurant and bars have stunning views and good menus. Just be aware there is nothing outside the hotel in walking distance and the restaurants you see on the site belong to the hotel. We loved it and was perfect for a few days "

"This place is amazing and one of the best hotels in which we have ever stayed! Five star treatment from the lovely staff from the moment you arrive until you leave. Fabulous local food and wine in the restaurant. Mercifully no pizzas! Literally everything has been thought of and nothing is too much problem. "The hotel is like walking into 1975 very dated ,the breakfast is truly awful,two coffee machines for countless guests. Very dry offerings,cold egg and unfriendly place."

"We stayed for one night because of the location to the Palermo airport (early flight next morning), the house and the room were beautiful, Nino the owner was more than accommodating, he arranged for a private cab ride to the airport that morning for us. The center of town with shops and restaurants are two small streets from the house, everyone in town were friendly. We walked around and felt safe even at night. We will definitely stay there again probably for a longer stay."
