โEden Atenas seemed a bit in the middle of nowhere, when we arrived in the dark - and it was very dark. But when we woke up the morning we were surrounded by the most beautiful jungle gardens, a gorgeous pool, such a kind caretaker who made a gorgeous simple breakfast where we watched hummingbirds. Eden. Just like it says. There isn't anywhere exciting to go outside the compound but inside it's a magical retreat. Someone should write a great novel there.โ

they welcomed us with home-made banana bread, which was really sweet.
the place is really safe, a 15min drive to downtown. if you're here to chill, this would be the perfect option! not too much things to do nearby, but you could drive to poรกs volcano for example.

โSweet atmosphere, design is authentic to the local area, beautiful gardens, nice staff, good food, free breakfast includes eggs, rice and beans, fruit, juices, good value, especially if you have children and need a suite. โ
โI plan on returning. The hotel is nestled in the heart of San Jose, it's a huge property. I chose it for the decor/culture of Costa Rica. I swam in a pristine Olympic sized pool, I saw several iguanas, and I don't know how many bird species and in the ceiling of my room, what I thought was a mouse, was actually a bird nest with new hatchlings, which was a bit disturbing when I was sleeping.
