"The only issue we had was there was no darling curtains so the street lights outside our window shined in all night. "

"Rooms cleaned every 3 days. Most hotels do 2. It was a known busy weekend in the community, and the hot tub was drained for “maintenance” (was informed that it was drained for a few weeks for painting). Upon booking, I was told that the shuttle would be available for all tournament days. Upon arrival, we were informed that the shuttle would not be running for the first day of the tournament. The toilet was not properly sealed in our room, and leaked. We were very happy with our stay last year, and booked a 2nd year. This time was a let down. "

"The hotel is wonderful. The history of the property makes it a fun place. It is a close walk to a lot of restaurants and entertainment. However, the property sits near homeless shelter and the neighborhood draws a lot of individuals who are struggling with mental health and drugs. Therefore, walks in the evening did not feel like a safe option. It did feel fairly safe during the daytime when downtown St. Paul is busy with people. *I want to emphasize the property is great but be cautious when traveling outside the location."

"The historic feel of this hotel was appreciated. The lobby had cozy seating and fireplace. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We appreciated the plush bathrobes and toiletries that were supplied, even the blow dryer was high end. "

"I didn't drive but if I was I won't feel safe with my vehicle in the parking lot in that area.there was no refrigerator in my room, the staff don't clean or bring towels or pickup trash unless u ask them to the night before, the microwave didn't have the turn table, the door for my was no sound poofed at all , that goodness I was on the 1st floor near the front desk, I heard from other much more drug activity on the other floors , I stayed for a week the cops were there at least 6 times, probably more, even for the cheaper price I would stay there again, I don't recommend that hotel unless you have no other affordable options, and don't mind being around meth heads 🙄"
