Very nice room with the added bonus of a one hour massage on the beach for $12 Canadian. We didn't get the breakfast included so I can't speak to that . The neighborhood is great and very safe with multiple options for stays and food

We booked last min so there wasn't many options within our price range. Took a chance with Tropicana as there were some mixed reviews. Turns out to be a nice resort and ended up enjoyed our stay here. We were surprised with a room upgrade to a family bungalow. Its was very spacious and the bathroom has walk in shower with good water pressure. Nice pool area is quiet but the beach is a little crowded with rows of sunbeds. Staff are welcoming and happy to help with booking tours or transport. CONS; Bungalow walls and doors are a little grubby, could do with a good spray n wipe or fresh paint. Some beach towels are old & ratty and the replenish bath towels they gave us were damp.

There was problem with the AC on my first day but they fixed the problem with giving me a new room with fine working AC so problem solved. This property has beautiful beach, pool and staff were very friendly and polite. I’ll definitely want to come back here.

Great stay. Exactly what I was hoping. Not the highest of high luxury, but pretty darn nice, but if you’re shopping on hotels.com, and not going right to your luxury vacation planner, this should be perfect for you. Not knowing anything about Phu Quoc before going, it was exactly where I would want to be. Staff was incredibly nice. Easily walkable to plenty of restaurants, and centrally located to get anywhere else. Definitely recommend. And splurge for the waterview room. Well worth a few extra dong!

We had a beach room, and the position was perfect. The room was clean. How ever, they only serve breakfast, and have no other facilities. There are plenty of options outside. There are bars to get drinks next door if you are on the beach, and some nice places to eat too. Having said that, it was just what we needed. The sunsets are beautiful. There is a shop that sells everything just 2 mins away. Don’t expect too much, and you will be happy.

It’s a decent stay. A 2-3 star to European standards. We got upgraded on arrival in a Bungalow. Which was nice. The rooms are standard’ish. You get a very tiny shower gel + Shampoo. Only 1 towel / person. No hand/face towels. You only receive 1 key/ room. If you are not glued to the person you are traveling, you need to go to the reception and ask to get someone to open for you. Which it happened and I find it a major security breach because I just went to reception and said I want to get in GXX and they said follow me. I could have been anyone.. they did not ask what name or anything. Feels incredibly unsafe. The breakfast… below average, but considering the options you have outside of the hotel… it was decent enough. The resort has access to the beach & sea which was a nice perk. The employees English is not working only with Google Translate. Additionally, I booked this accommodation via Hotels.com on 13th of March. On 24th March I received a message on WhatsApp with my full name & booking number from a Saudi Arabian number asking me to ” confirm” my booking by clicking on a link. I understand is a scam, but I am sure the Tropicana database is hacked and my information just became public. Tried to flag it to the hotel… but the communication is non existent.

By no means a five star hotel. Cockroaches in the bedroom and bathroom. Also was only given one room key card. I had to request for another and I was told it’s hotel policy to only give one room key card. Location is ok. But I wouldn’t book again. Sub standard hotel.

The lobby staff wear multiple hats - “taking care” of guest relations and breakfast service. If you need something (a safe unlocked or a taxi to the airport), response times will vary depending on the job/level of initiative. Overall, the rooms are clean, and there is a pool with beach access. One real bummer is that there is no restaurant service during the day, which makes the stay less convenient than it should be. Could you do worse in this area? Absolutely. Is it worth an average of $150 a night in a place with infrastructure issues like inconsistent electricity and “quirky” tourist sites (Fake Europe in the South is truly odd)? Personally, I would say no.

Joli bungalow avec belle terrasse, vue mer, coucher de soleil magnifique. Transat à disposition avec serviettes de plage. Petit déjeuner sans grande prétention. Situé à 25 min. à pied du centre de Duong Dang et du marché de nuit. Beaucoup de commerces utiles juste à côté. Assez calme le soir.

Bra läge med flera bra restauranger nära

Vi hade ett rum nere vid stranden, familjerum. Supernice att bara kunna gå ut på stranden eller sitta på sin terrass på kvällen. Vi provade aldrig frukost för resorten ligger på en gata som hade de bästa och prisvärda restaurangerna. (Helt klart bästa läget om man som oss gillar mat).

I was first time in 10/2016. It was excellent. Ms.Jasmine manager was very kind and gave me upgraded room on the beach. Terrace chairs and table were dirty and sticky. I called cleaners. I wanted to make the tea in the evening. That was when I noticed that the tea tray was dirty and loaded with human hair like in the barber shop, plus the tray, tea pot and cups were dirty, too. Photo!!! The next morning I brought the tea tray to receptionist and asked for the manager to show her. She was not there at the moment. When I saw Ms. Jasmine again, I told her that I deserve I night free for the inconvenience that I experienced. During the first night I got some kind of allergy on my back, chest and upper arm. I believed it was bed bugs. Mr. Jasmine offered me some cream. She helped me and put cream on my back and chest. She even bought the new cream the next day because the previous one was expired. I declined. The breakfast was not worth the money($87/day). No many choices for breakfast. The soup was excellent. I asked for boiled eggs and the staff did it. The staff is kind, the resort has a lot of potentials, but a lot of things started to fall apart. The nice small beach was dirty. My check out was fast. Ms. Jasmine offered me 1 night free on my next stay for the inconvenience that I had. I refused and said that I would never come to Tropicana again. The site photos are not the real representative of Tropicana now. Too bad. It was once a beautiful place to stay and enjoy.
