desk clerk spent ten minutes finding my reservation and even though he had my credit card he demanded 50 dollars cash deposit for key. Very unprofessional staff.

Friendly staff. Easy, and fast check in.
Beyond that, it's a good thing the hotel is getting remodeled. It's seen better days. Hopefully it is more than paint and carpet......there are moisture issues from lack of bathroom ventilation and perhaps prior leaky pipes.
The HVAC unit needs a through cleaning to remove the mildew smell

THE BATHROOM HAS BLACK SPOTS AT THE EDGES OF THE BOTTOM OF THE SHOWER. IT IS AN EASY FIX, NOT SURE WHY SOMEONE DID NOT DO IT BEFORE WE GOT THERE.
